The Lion King is Matt’s all-time favorite Disney movie. Name a piece of merch, he’s got it. The live-action movie came out on July 19th (and Matt celebrated his 27th birthday on July 20th) so he felt the best way to ring in a new year of life would be to tackle one of his biggest projects yet: an entire cover album.

Matt released King (A Celebration of Songs from The Lion King) on July 18, 2019 and had an incredibly successful show at Lucky Strike Live in Hollywood to celebrate with 10+ local LA singers for a singer showcase and album release. A portion of the proceeds from the bar went to Uganda Project, who Matt worked closely with through the entire process of this project.
